I wear my sunglasses at night.

This evening’s interruption is brought to you by my new $10 dollar sunglasses ($25 off) courtesy of my mama. I give them 2 months before I sit on them in my car and they break.

And, yes, the tags and stickers are still on.

    Goodbye!

    Runaway PeanutĀ Butter

First of all, I’m glad to report that I survived! The sun is now shining a little brighter, and the birds are chirping. Hallelujah.

After this revelation, I celebrated with a lunch meeting. Hah. Plus side? Free Panera Catering lunch boxes! Those boxes are seriously epic. Mine contained half of a Smoked Turkey sandwich on country bread with normal sammy veggies and mayo/mustard, a fuji apple chicken salad, a baguette and a toffee nut cookie the size of my head (seriously). Like I said, epic. I ate everything but the baguette (kind of a random addition in my humble opinion) and made it about half way through the cookie.

To avoid stranger than usual stares, I refrained from taking a picture of my food mid-meeting. When I got back to my desk and was starting to lose interest in the cookie due to unanticipated stomach capacity issues, I did whip out the iPhone for a cookie quickie.

Too bad a rich buttery texture doesn’t fully translate on camera. You’ll have to take my word for it.

Skipping straight to the next instance of dessert in my day, I really had a hankering to try peanut butter banana soft serve for the first time. I never thought I would say this, but I was SO disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted good. But there was literally no peanut butter flavor – the banana totally overwhelmed it! I didn’t really need those extra calories, or extra protein for that matter, today in exchange for nada.

    Laaaaaame!

Regardless, the world is looking up. We’re going to a fancy schmancy restaurant tomorrow night to celebrate Denis’ new job. Stay tuned for drool-enducing pics.
